Easter Lussa, Isle of Mull
The project is for a new build house on a picturesque sloping site on the Isle of Mull. The form of the building is designed to have a low visual impact, with one storey set into the hillside, and is based on the Scottish longhouse. The living spaces are located on the entry level making use of the pitched room spaces, and bedrooms are to have square picture windows looking out to the loch.
Stone walls form shelter and terraces in the the hillside. There is a NW/ SE orientation to give all living rooms SE orientation, with key rooms on gable elevations looking to Beinn Bhearnach to the West. The proposed landscaping is to comprise of native scottish hillside planting, dwarf willows, heather and wildflowers.
The project is ongoing.
