Stranraer Water Sports Centre

We are working alongside Stranraer Water Sports Association (SWSA) and Blue Sea Consulting to develop a new water sports centre for the town of Stranraer. Despite a strong historical connection to the sea, there is not a dedicated water sports centre in the town. A new facility will encourage the local and wider community to engage with the sea to the benefit of their health and well being.

A feasibility study was carried out to understand full scope of requirements and the best course to take for this exciting new centre. The executive summary and the full report can be read by clicking the links below.

SWSA is now developing a full business case and working towards a planning application. A fundamental part of their approach is community engagement and ensuring that local voices are heard and influence how the project develops. Please them to build a clearer picture of the local and business community’s interest and ambitions for our project by filling in the questionnaire that can be found at the end of the Executive Summary.
